The pole snapped in half, downing wires across the highway -- which fell onto a tour bus and Jeep in the southbound lanes.

No serious injuries were immediately reported in the crash near Lake Street, which also involved a tractor-trailer jack-knifing.

Traffic remained detoured at Allendale Avenue past 10:30 p.m., more than 5½ hours after the incident.
